In the early mornings hours of Saturday July 8, police arrested a juvenile man shortly after he had robbed a business on the 1300 block of Second Street NE. He had entered the business, pointed a gun at cashiers and demanded all the money in the registers. After cashiers complied, he ran away. He was captured by police shortly thereafter.
The man was also subsequently charged in connection with two earlier armed robberies of businesses. These took place on June 15 on the 1300 block of Second Street NE and on June 20 on the 700 block of H Street NE.
He is charged with three counts of Robbery of an Establishment while Armed.

At 11:14 a.m. Friday, a man was arrested on the 1300 block of Corbin Place NE on charges of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
At 2:50 a.m. Friday, there was a robbery on the 500 block of 16th Street SE.
At 10:23 a.m. Friday, there was an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon on the 1900 block of Maryland Avenue NE.
At 8:25 p.m. there was an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon on the 1600 block of Rosedale Street NE.
At 2:39 p.m. Sunday, there was a robbery on the 1400 block of Potomac Avenue SE.
